About

OUTFIT NRH is an expression of Nick Hart’s cultural compass. Growing up, he was fascinated by the London and New York scenes in which he later played a part. He was mesmerized by funk and jazz, soul and punk. (Not to mention his future client David Bowie.)

He was drawn to the Outsider – to the poets, mavericks and overlooked – and his influences include the aesthetics and music of Miles Coltrane and Thelonious Monk, the photography of August Sander and the deconstruction of menswear. It’s a vibe he has rediscovered on his home patch of Ladbroke Grove.

For more than 15 years, Nick has partnered with factories in the UK, Portugal and Italy, developing close relationships. Working with British and Italian fabrics, and without expensive retail margins, he can now produce sustainable, small runs of beautifully-made tailored garments.

But humanity and equality also matter to him, so Nick will use OUTFIT NRH to spread his positive ideals. Because? ‘Life’s too short not to.’
